When something has to get pushed to the back burner, it's often self-care. You tell yourself that you need it, you deserve it, you crave it, but you don't have time for it. The trust is, if you don't make it a priority, it's not going to happen. You have to decide that you're significant, and you're going to make yourself a priority. You don't have to neglect your family for it, so put that excuse right out of your mind. That's is what you think to yourself. Your family will be okay, they'll be incredible, and your children will be learning from a young age, that self-care is vital.

You wouldn't break a date with your spouse or your children, so don't break one with yourself. Set aside a particular date and time when you're going to make you a priority. Make regular dates with yourself and see how much better you feel.
